Superintendent's Weekly Update, December 23, 2021

Dear Lamoille North Families, 

I want to take a moment to wish all of you a wonderful Holiday break! I hope you are able to spend time with those you love doing the things that you love. As 2021 comes to a close and we look ahead to 2022, there are many wonderful things to highlight that are allowing us to incrementally move into a recovery mindset and environment. Some of these positive developments include comprehensive COVID-19 mitigation strategies, a committed and effective health and nurse team, dedicated staff members, kind and supportive families and caregivers, full in-person instruction for all grade levels, a continuum of co-curricular activities for students, outdoor learning opportunities, and consistent in-person connections between students and educational staff. Our collective efforts take time, effort, patience, cooperation and persistence, but I am confident that our work, in partnership with our communities, will result in things we can indeed celebrate. Thank you for your support and efforts to keep our school communities healthy and your willingness to work with us as we continue to navigate the challenges that have emerged this year. 

On another note, I want to make you aware of testing sites for COVID-19 and free antigen test kits, that are available on a first come, first serve basis in several locations, for those who would like to test at home over this break. Please see HERE for more information, including sites where test kits will be available. 

In closing, wherever you find yourselves this holiday season, and honoring whatever traditions you choose, I wish you all a safe, healthy and relaxing school break. My next newsletter will be sent to you on January 7, 2022. I look forward to seeing all of our students on Monday, January 3, 2022!
