Jim Kinney, a beloved member of the Cambridge community who passed away at the end of December, will be fondly remembered by all of us at CES. Jim was a custodian at CES for many years, sharing kindness and humor with everyone while also proudly keeping the school impeccably clean. He left behind a positive impact on everyone he encountered. Even after his official retirement in 2017, Jim remained a dedicated member of our school community by lending a helping hand whenever needed.
Jim's connection to our school ran deep. Jim was a member of one of the final classes to attend the Cambridge High School before Lamoille Union's construction.
Jim's passion for local history was evident in his unique collection of antique milk bottles, which he loved to share. He was a staple in the third grade, generously sharing his knowledge with students during their annual history unit.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held by his family on Sunday, January 12th, from 12-2 pm at the school. To learn more about Jim's life and leave a memory, please visit bit.ly/4gR92KV.
