Join Our Team at Cambridge Elementary: It's More Than Just a Bus Route!

"This is the best kept secret in town, there's only one spot left, and I'm not giving up mine!" — Nick Lavallee, Cambridge Elementary Bus Driver

Are you looking for a job that gives you freedom, a great schedule, and a supportive community? We're hiring a full-time bus driver for a 5.5-hour contracted day, and we think you'll love it here. But don't just take our word for it—listen to what one of our drivers, Nick, has to say about the job.

According to Nick, the job comes with a fantastic schedule that includes weekends and holidays off, as well as school breaks. "Students get a week off for Thanksgiving? So do you!! Christmas? Take that week + and enjoy it," he says. The best part? There's a 4+ hour break between morning and afternoon runs, perfect for running errands, catching up on hobbies, or, as Nick loves to do, "getting the midweek skiing in with zero lift lines."

What to Expect: Training

Worried about not having a bus driver's license? Don't be! We pay for all the fees associated with getting your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Class B endorsement. Our training process is thorough and supportive:

  • We cover all your costs for the CDL training and exams.

  • We'll take you through the process of obtaining your CDL license, and we'll train you on everything you'll need to know for the exams.

  • You'll get plenty of time to practice driving the bus to get comfortable with maneuvering.

  • Once you're licensed, you'll have a bus monitor ride with you to help out until you're completely confident with your new route.

Working at Cambridge Elementary

Nick describes Cambridge Elementary as feeling "like a small business rather than a large corporation." You'll be part of a close-knit, friendly team that has plenty of fun while making a difference.

We offer good benefits, and if you opt for health insurance, it remains active even during the summer when school is out.

If you're ready to start a job that offers an incredible work-life balance and a supportive community, we want to hear from you.
